JAPANESE FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
Why Bunbuku?
Bunbuku began with a frustrating experience: months of practice in an app that did not seem to translate into usable Japanese. The idea was to make that practice useful in real situations, with a clear path from learning something new to using it.
How learning works
Follow lessons built around everyday situations. Meet useful words and phrases, learn the grammar that connects them, then practise listening, remembering and forming replies. Along the way, learn about everyday customs and essentials such as numbers, prices and time.
The course gives you a next step, so you don't have to put a learning plan together yourself. Recognising a word in a lesson doesn't always mean you'll remember it when you need it. You can return to completed lessons, review vocabulary or spend more time on a skill that still feels difficult.
An example: First Introductions
Start with meeting someone and saying your name. Learn what to do when you do not understand, including asking for repetition or slower speech. Later lessons build towards sharing where you are from, talking about work or interests, and asking about the other person.
You hear the language, put sentences together and practise answering. Example dialogues show those phrases in an exchange. Then try introducing yourself in a conversation with an AI partner.
Help along the way
You do not need to read Japanese before starting. Lessons include audio, English meanings and romaji, Japanese written in Latin letters. Grammar explanations help you understand the sentences you are practising.
In AI conversations, speak or type at your own pace. Romaji and English translations help you follow the replies, and you can ask for an example when you get stuck. Afterwards, review feedback and corrections for something to work on next. AI replies and feedback can sometimes be incorrect.
