Can I start without knowing any Japanese?
Yes. Start with greetings and introducing yourself. Audio, English meanings and romaji (Japanese written in Latin letters) help you follow along before you can read Japanese.
What’s free, and what does Pro add?
Try the first lesson without an account. A free account includes the course in order, practice games, vocabulary review, grammar and one scenario conversation every seven days. Pro adds up to 20 conversations a day, Express yourself for your own ideas, and any lesson in any order. A free account does not start a paid subscription.

Who am I practising with?
You practise with an AI partner and can review feedback afterwards. AI replies and corrections can be wrong, so use them as practice support.
