Fluent is now Bunbuku

The Japanese learning app you knew at TryFluent has a new name and home: Bunbuku at bunbuku.com. It is the same independently developed service.

Already have an account?

Use your existing sign-in method and account at app.bunbuku.com. You do not need to create a new account. Your account-linked learning progress stays with that account.

You may need to sign in again on the new website. If you used Google, continue with the same Google account. If your progress looks different, check that you used the same account, or contact support before starting again.

Used Fluent without an account?

Open the original app address in the same browser and device you used before. Your guest progress is linked to that browser and does not automatically follow you to the new address.

Sign in or create an account there first, and check that your progress is attached to it. Then use that same account on Bunbuku. Keep your browser data until you have checked your progress. If it is missing, ask us for help.

What has changed?

Bunbuku connects a structured Japanese course with practice games, vocabulary review, grammar and supported AI conversations. Conversation practice remains part of the app; lessons help you prepare for it.

You can try the first lesson without an account. A free account includes the course in order, practice, vocabulary review, grammar and one scenario conversation every seven days. Pro is optional and adds more conversations, Express yourself and access to lessons in any order. Creating a free account does not start a paid subscription.

The course focuses on Japanese. Existing early-access and partner benefits follow the offer under which they were granted.

Privacy and support

The current privacy policy explains account and learning data, speech and AI processing, analytics and your choices. The website lets you decline analytics; free learning in the web app requires the usage-data agreement shown before entry. See the terms for access and subscription details.
